Soy Licenciado en Economía especializado en finanzas, control y gestión pública. Estoy haciendo el Doctorado en Ciencias Económicas (mención en administración, FCE UNCuyo). Además, tengo un MBA (FCE UNCuyo), trabajé en el Tribunal de Cuentas de Mendoza y actualmente en la Dirección de Administración del Ministerio de Salud y Deportes. Doy clases de Finanzas Públicas (FCE UNCuyo) y fui docente titular en la FCEyJ UdA. También dirijo la Maestría en Gestión Financiera del Sector Público (FCE UNcuyo) y en la Diplomatura en Control y Auditoria del Sector Público (FCE UNCuyo).
Me interesa el análisis estadístico y cuantitativo de pequeños y grandes volúmenes de datos aplicados a políticas públicas, para lo cual aprendí a usar R. En la actualidad estoy investigando si la existencia de reglas fiscales mejora el desempeño presupuestario del sector público, utilizando información del FMI para 90 países. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a specialization in public finance, control, and management. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Economic Sciences (Administration concentration, School of Economic Sciences, UNCuyo). The draft of my research project can be consulted here. I also hold an MBA (School of Economic Sciences, UNCuyo). I worked at the Court of Accounts of Mendoza and currently serve in the Manager of the Ministry of Health and Sports. I teach Public Finance (School of Economic Sciences, UNCuyo) and was a tenured professor at the School of Economics and Law (UdA). I also direct the Master’s Program in Public Sector Financial Management (School of Economic Sciences, UNCuyo) and the Diploma in Public Sector Control and Auditing (School of Economic Sciences, UNCuyo).
I am interested in the statistical and quantitative analysis of small and large datasets applied to public policy, for which I learned to use R. I am currently researching whether the existence of fiscal rules improves the budgetary performance of the public sector, using IMF data for 90 countries. The draft of this work can be viewed here.
